Sebring Double National

Hey everybody, we're here at Sebring in the unusually cool weather. Puffy is convinced the world is ending.
We had race 1 yesterday in the rain and it was eventful. Pat had a great start from fifth and was battling for third place with one of the Liberty cars in the early stages. He had a bobble in the hairpin and fell back a few seconds but had managed to make that time back and was attacking again when a black flag came out. Jim had a steady race going from an eighth place start and was running by himself when the black flag flew.
On the restart Pat got another great start and had a good run on Haden Duerson on the front straight. Unfortunately, he popped on him while on the huge painted area at the start/finish line and spun into the wall on the inside of the straight. He was fortunate that nobody collected him but there was some substantial damage and his race was over.
Jim moved up to fifth in the restart melee and the race never went back to green so he finished there.
The crew worked into the night to repair Pat's car and we are ready for final qualifying for today's race now. I will update later in the day how the qualifying session goes.
Until later,
Brent

OK, so this mornings qualifying session is now in the books. Pat shook down his car after last nights repairs and things went reasonably well with that. He had a little bit of a pull to the left in the car and we put it back on the pad and made a few adjustments.
Unfortunately, Jim didn't have a good session. A formula 500 spun in front of him in turn 15 and Jim was unable to avoid him. He tore the left rear corner off the car and broke the oil tank. The crew did a fantastic job and the car is rolling towards the pad now. We will be the second race after lunch and I'll try to update this on the way up to the airport.
