ArmsUp Motorsports has announced that it will enter the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course rounds of the F2000 Championship Series this coming weekend (July
1-2) via a two-car effort. Joining the Elkhart Lake, Wis.-based squad will be top junior formula car drivers Zach Veach and Spencer
Pigot.
ArmsUp Motorsports enters Rounds Seven and Eight of the highly-competitive F2000 Championship Series having made their series debut back
in 2010 at Road America, where Revere Greist scored a third place finish in race two of the doubleheader. This time out Veach and Pigot, who currently
sit second and third respectively in the USF2000 National Championship, will be behind the wheels. The goal for the talented duo will not only be to
challenge for top honors at the technical Mid-Ohio road course, but also extend ArmsUp's streak of earning a podium finish in every pro level event
it has ever entered.
"We are really excited to have two of the best up and coming formula car drivers run with us," said ArmsUp Team Manager
Brent Borland from the teams' shop. "With these two drivers, I think we have a very good chance at placing both cars on the podium."
The
on-track action for the ArmsUp Motorsports drivers commences on Thursday (June, 30), with three F2000 Championship Series practice sessions at
Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Both Friday and Saturday (July 1-2) will feature two qualifying runs prior to a late afternoon race.
